Access Keys

Access keys function exactly like hot keys. They are intended as an accessibility aid for users to skip directly to relevant content areas on a page. Most browsers support Access keys however, some older browsers do not support these functions. This will not effect the visual delivery of content.

To use the access keys on this website, Windows users can navigate with the access key feature by typing ALT + ACCESS KEY followed by RETURN. Firefox users need instead to type ALT + SHIFT + ACCESS KEY. Using a Mac, you will need to use CTRL + ACCESS KEY (not COMMAND + ACCESS KEY, which can produce undesirable effects).

Converting PDF files

The Adobe website provides a service to convert PDF files to HTML via an online form.

The Adobe website and the Trace Research Centre provide services to convert Acrobat PDF files to plain text or HTML via e-mail.

The text is too small for me to read - how can I change it?

In Internet Explorer go to View > Text size and select Larger or Largest. In Netscape go to View > Increase Font Size. You could also try changing the screen resolution. There is an inpage toolbar positioned on the same level as the 'page heading' that contains a tool to change text size.
